Privacy Policy

HouseSense is built on one principle: your data is yours. The app has no server, no user accounts and no tracking — and the developer cannot see your scans, photos or notes.

What data is processed?

Scans, floor plans, photos and notes are stored locally on your device and synced to your own private iCloud database (CloudKit). Only your Apple account has access.
Camera and LiDAR are used solely to measure rooms and take the photos you choose to take. No imagery ever leaves your device/iCloud.
Location and compass are read briefly when a scan starts, to determine true north (for the north arrow and sunlight simulation) and the address of the house. The location is stored only on the house in your own iCloud.
Address lookup: the house's GPS coordinate is sent to the public Danish address API (DAWA, api.dataforsyningen.dk) to resolve the address. No personal information is included.

What is NOT collected?

No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers.
No user accounts, e-mails or passwords.
The developer receives no data about you or your use of the app.

Sharing with others

If you choose to share a house, sharing happens directly between your Apple accounts through Apple's iCloud sharing (CKShare). The recipient can see the contents of the house; the developer cannot.

External AI

HouseSense can compose a ready-made prompt for external AI services (e.g. ChatGPT). The app never sends anything on its own — you copy text and images yourself, and you are a user of the external service on their terms.

Deletion

If you delete a house or a room in the app, the data is deleted both locally and in your iCloud. If you delete the app and its iCloud data (Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage), no copy exists anywhere.

Payment

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store. HouseSense receives no payment information — only an anonymous receipt confirming that the subscription is active.
